The church was organized in 1844.  In July 1856, Asa Hearne sold the church six acres of land for nine dollars.  In 1892, the church was relocated three miles away to a piece of land donated by John and Parthenia Matlock.
The current church structure is the third building on the site.  Built in 1980 under the leadership of Rev. Terry Lowe, it includes a sanctuary, a fellowship hall, and classrooms.  The current membership includes many descendants of the early church forbearers.
How to Get There:
Take Hwy 2 east out of Plain Dealing.  After 7.5 miles, turn left (north) on Mott Rd.  The church will be 3.5 miles down the road on the left, at the corner of Walker’s Chapel Road/Goodman Springs and Mott Rd.
