The church, thought to be named
for its location between two hills in Trenton, was founded around 1886.
The earliest services were held under a brush arbor near the “Annie Crossing,”
south of the current site. There wasn’t any road in front of the
church in the early days. The gravel road east of the present side
was a narrow trail for wagons and horses.
The current church building
was constructed in 1954. The bell in the church comes from the previous
church building.
In 1992, the church purchased
over four acres of land on which to build new facilities. Located
on Hwy 171 a quarter mile south of the 1954 church, the new church was
completed in 2004. |
