In 1990, the Shreveport District
Board of Missions bought 5.2 acres on which to start a new church south
of Bossier City. Rev. Gregory R. Davis was appointed to start the
new church and began organizational meetings on August 6, 1990 at the Riverview
Nursing Home. The group chose the name Fellowship for the new church.
The first service was held December
2, 1990 at the girls’ gym of Parkway High School. The present church
was later built at the property on Barksdale Blvd.
