The LaPlace church building
was built as Lasseigne Memorial Methodist Church in October 1938 under
the leadership of Rev. H.M. Wolfe. It was destroyed by hurricane
Betsy on September 9, 1965 and rebuilt by October 1966 under the leadership
of Rev. J.H. Tinnin.
Another cornerstone on the current
building is for the Lasseigne Memorial Methodist Church, built in 1958
under the leadership of Rev. H.M. Wolfe. |
