The LaPlace church building was built as Lasseigne Memorial Methodist Church in October 1938 under the leadership of Rev. H.M. Wolfe.   It was destroyed by hurricane Betsy on September 9, 1965 and rebuilt by October 1966 under the leadership of Rev. J.H. Tinnin.
Another cornerstone on the current building is for the Lasseigne Memorial Methodist Church, built in 1958 under the leadership of Rev. H.M. Wolfe.
How to Get There:
Take Hwy 61 west out of New Orleans.  In LaPlace, turn right onto Hwy 51.  Turn left on Bamboo Rd.  Grace School will be on the left and the church will be on the right.
If heading to LaPlace on I-10, take the Hwy 51 exit and head south on Hwy 51.  The church is 1.7 miles south of I-10.
