In 1984, McGuire United Methodist
Church sponsored the formation of a new congregation in the Drew community.
The first gatherings were Sunday School classes held in a trailer near
the current site of the church. The first service was held on April
22, 1984 at the Drew School cafeteria.
Current programs include Mother’s
Day Out and a Latchkey After School Program.
How to Get There:
Take exit 108 from I-20. Head north on Cheniere Drew Rd. (Hwy 546)
to Hwy 15. Turn right. Veer left onto Hwy 616 (Arkansas Rd.).
The church is on the left, just to the west of Johnson Rd. Or, heading
west on Hwy 80 turn north on Wallace Rd. in Claiborne and then left on
Arkansas.
