Construction on the church began in October 1956, and it was completed by April 1957.   The church’s debts were paid off by 1965 under the leadership of Rev. A.D. George.  The dedication service on November 7, 1965 was led by Bishop Aubrey Walton and District Superintendent Dr. Bentley Sloane.
